The River Cree Embers Project represents a strategic expansion of the River Cree Resort and Casino, developed by the Enoch Cree Nation to enhance gaming capacity and elevate the overall guest experience.
Located on a 2,098-square-foot footprint within a former parking area north of the existing casino, this single-storey addition enhancement introduces a smoke-friendly gaming environment housing approximately 650 gaming terminals. The space is complemented by the ONYX Lounge and an adjacent poker room offering both daily and weekly tournaments.
The project required significant infrastructure upgrades, including waterline rerouting, new sewer installations, and electrical system extensions incorporating specialized 120-amp circuits to support high-demand gaming equipment. Key amenities include a future Sportsbook location, jackpot dispensers, ATMs, and advanced cash box technology. Additional features include a new bar with VLTs and a modernized entrance to the Embers restaurant.
Phase 1 was successfully completed in December 2025, with Phases 2 and 3 completed in March 2026.
