The JW Marriott Edmonton Ice District building will be Edmonton’s newest luxury hotel and tourist destination. Upon completion in late 2018, this hotel will allow tourists, corporate guests and convention attendees to stay in style right at the heart of Canada’s largest mixed-use sports and entertainment districts. 

The completed hotel will be home to more that 346 rooms and suites, more than 25,000 square feet of meeting and conference space and one of Edmonton’s largest ballrooms, which will be over 10,000 square feet.

This new luxury location will be one of the most significant hotel developments in Edmonton in over 25 years. Guests will have direct access to all of the amenities already found in Edmonton’s ICE District, and additional building amenities will include a luxury pool, outdoor terrace, Spa by JW and a restaurant operated by one of Canada’s premier restauranteurs.

AUGUSTANA TOWER

The Augustana property is set to change the skyline and lifestyle in Edmonton’s central business district. Just steps away from the bustle of the Alberta Legislature, this 30-storey mixed-use development will perfectly blend residential purposed built rental and commercial needs in the heart of the city.

When construction is completed in 2020, this building will house 240 residential apartment units for lease that range from studio spaces to three bedrooms. It also possesses 6,400 square feet of commercial space on the ground floor. 

The building amenities will include underground parking, concierge service, comprehensive fitness facility on the second floor and a vibrant community area with a large kitchen, dining and lounge area and an outdoor rooftop patio will be housed on the penthouse of the building.

ICE DISTRICT STANTEC TOWER

Stantec Tower will anchor the Southeast corner of the Ice District outdoor plaza and create a new beacon on the City of Edmonton skyline. The 67-storey development will stretch over 820 ft into the northern sky. Upon completion in the fall of 2019, it will rival the Bow in Calgary as one of the tallest structures in Alberta and be home to the highest residential address in Canada west of Toronto.

The building consists of approximately 1.35 million sf, segregated in 843,000 sf of commercial and the balance in 484 condominium units.

The three-story podium development is an integral component to the overall access of the district plaza as it represents the primary urban interface between the existing downtown commercial core and ICE District. The building amenities will include a daycare, and tenants will also enjoy access to bike storage, conference centres, common boardrooms and a fitness centre. 

 

ICE DISTRICT EDMONTON TOWER

The Edmonton Tower opened for business in the fall of 2016 and it is the home to about two thirds of the City of Edmonton’s downtown employees. At 27 storeys and over 600,000 square feet, this building is a creative new tower in the downtown. 

Situated in the Ice District, The Tower offers excellent access to the heart of the city via 104 Avenue as well to the newly constructed MacEwan LRT station. The building also has pedway access to Rogers Place as well as Bell Tower to the south, which connects to the greater downtown core.

Edmonton Tower is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also highly functional. Designed to LEED Gold standards, it is sustainable, modern, practical and architecturally progressive.

ice district block k

Block K offers modern amenities and a high efficiency design in an unrivaled commercial setting of 123,000 sf. The building features highly visible retail opportunities at grade, the Grand Villa Edmonton Casino on second floor offering world-class gaming, dining and live entertainment and it is the new headquarters for the Oilers Entertainment Group.

Block K was the first building completed in the fall of 2016, as part of the private development within ICE District. The edifice is interconnected to the world class Rogers Place Arena and the newly constructed MacEwan LRT station.
